The Saintolian Shepherd Hybrid! in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho For Sale

The Saintolian Shepherd was bred in collaboration with breeders of previous national champion short-haired St. Bernards who specifically wished to combine the traits of these beloved mastiffs with those of the wonderful Anatolian Shepherd. The desired hybrid is the magnificient Saintolian Shepherd! A large, strong, and highly intelligent dog that is loyal, protective, family loving, and livestock protecting.
The dam is a registered purebred Anatolian. The sire is a registered purebred short-haired St. Bernard. Both dogs are on premise and both have proven to be highly loyal and affectionate family dogs as well as diligent and courageous livestock guardians.
Our previous litter has shown ample evidence of the intended Saintolian hybrid vigor and extended longevity. Anatolians are long-lived and this litter's St. Bernard sire is nearing 8 yrs old and is still very vigorous and healthy. The St. Bernard sire has relatively smaller and tighter flutes (jowls) than most of the breed, which in combination with the dry-mouthed Anatolian produces a dry-mouthed Saintolian. Saintolian Shepherd's full grown are between 115 and 135 lbs.

For the SECOND TIME in a row one of our new puppies went to a family who makes a living boarding dogs, all sorts of of dogs. This time they were so impressed with their Saintolian that guards their livestock that they chose one for their house dog as well!

"______ favorite days are when we go up to the lake to fish, but since it's snowed up there, we can't make it anymore. We'll have to wait until Spring. He really enjoys the water, and I think he'll be swimming out there with the kids come Summer! As for snow, he LOVES it. We had a few inches fall last week, and the kids went sledding. Koda was so tired by the end of the day. He ran up and down our huge hill all day! The kids have decided that we should buy him a harness, and teach him to pull up the sleds up for them. :)"
 
"______ loves to play fetch. He tears the ground up when he puts on the steam! He could run for days and never tire. We just have to keep working on the "coming back" part...haha! He knows "sit", "down", and he also knows to sit and wait by the door until we tell him to go outside."

"We could not be happier with ______. He's a sweet-tempered, calm, and very intelligent dog who seems to take seriously his job of protecting the house and family. He rarely barks, but does when he feels it's important. He sticks close to the house most of the time (and stays on the property all the time so far), loves playing with the kids, and recently caught his first mole near the garden. It takes him just a few minutes to learn any new trick, and though we've never done anything negative to train him away from chickens (aside from telling him not to mess with them), the other day he came and found Grandpa and led him to one of the chickens that had escaped its pen. He'd had plenty of opportunity to make a snack or sport of it, and didn't! Yay! So we're very, very pleased with him.
